NbSe2 is a type II superconductor.
Below 33 K, the charge density waves can be observed (every third row of
atoms appears bright).

temperature about 385 mK,

This image (area: 18 × 5 nm2)
was taken at an applied field of
μ0H = 2 T
T = 385 mK.
The flux results in a vortex lattice, i.e., superconducting and normal regions coexist. |

This coexistance can be seen in the two spectroscopic curves taken
within the superconducting region and at the center of a vortex, respectively. |
